1. Who these terms are with

Pythia is operated by Gooya UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Gerhard-von-Rad-Str. 9, 90425 Nürnberg, Germany (see our Impressum). These terms govern your use of the Pythia website and service. By using Pythia you agree to them.

2. What Pythia is — and what it is not

Pythia is a digital astrology companion. It computes an astrological chart from the birth details you provide and offers readings, reflections and conversation based on it.

For guidance and reflection only — not professional advice. Astrology is not a science, and Pythia’s readings are offered for personal insight, entertainment and reflection. They are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, financial or other advice, and we make no promise that any reading is accurate or that any described outcome will occur. Decisions you make are your own responsibility. Pythia is not a crisis service — if you are in distress or an emergency, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency number (in Germany, 112; the Telefonseelsorge is reachable free at 0800 111 0 111).

3. Who may use Pythia

Pythia is intended for users aged 16 and over. You may use it without creating an account; a functional identifier stored on your device keeps your chart and history continuous (see the Privacy Policy).

4. Purchases and prices

Some features are paid: one-time readings and an optional recurring membership. The current price and what it includes are shown to you at checkout before you pay, in US dollars, and the price shown is the total amount charged. Payments are processed by Stripe; we store a record of your purchase, not your card details. If a payment fails or is reversed, the corresponding access may be withdrawn.

5. Digital content and your right of withdrawal (Widerruf)

As a consumer in the EU you generally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase. A reading is digital content delivered to you immediately after purchase: by buying a reading and receiving it at once, you request that immediate delivery and consent to it, and you acknowledge that your right of withdrawal lapses once delivery has begun (§ 356 Abs. 5 BGB). For the recurring membership, the 14-day right of withdrawal applies from the start of the subscription.

6. Membership term and cancellation

A membership renews automatically for the period you chose (monthly or annually) until you cancel. You can cancel at any time through the billing portal in the app, effective at the end of the current paid period, with no need to contact us. After cancellation your membership benefits continue until the period you have paid for ends.

7. Acceptable use

Please use Pythia lawfully and for your own personal, non-commercial use. Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape at scale, or misuse the service, and do not use it to harm others.

8. Intellectual property

The Pythia software, design and content are owned by us or our licensors. Your readings and conversations are yours to keep and use for your personal purposes; we grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the service for that.

9. Liability

We provide Pythia with reasonable care but do not warrant that readings are accurate or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions you make based on a reading. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for intent or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under German law; your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. For material changes affecting an ongoing membership we will give you reasonable notice, and you may cancel if you do not agree.

11. Governing law

German law applies, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live. If any provision is invalid, the rest remains in effect.
